Our child therapy services provide a safe and nurturing environment for young children to express themselves. Our therapists use play-based and age-appropriate techniques to help children process emotions, develop coping skills, and address behavioral concerns. We work closely with parents to support the child's emotional and psychological well-being. Child/Play therapy can help with developing social skills, emotional intelligence, as well as learning necessary emotional regulation skills. If your child is exhibiting challenging behaviors that are negatively impacting their academic and social functioning, as well as home life- our therapists can assist in this area. Other issues that can be helped with child/play therapy include trauma recovery, adjustment to life/family changes, as well as grief. At CPC we not only provide support for your child, we will support and provide guidance on best parenting practices for the situation at hand and make sure you are equipped with resources within your community such as support groups, peer groups, and collaboration with other providers overseeing your child's treatment. We also offer evidence based care regarding ADHD management for the child, as well as strategies to help the whole family function in a more cohesive and smooth way. Whether your child is neurodivergent or has lagging executive functioning skills, our child services will help you and your child feel more confident and capable to navigate any challenges ahead.

Therapy for Teens
Adolescence can be one of the most difficult periods of time for most teens and families. Teen therapy offers adolescents a confidential space to explore their thoughts and feelings to develop confidence, self-awareness, and good decision-making skills. Our experienced therapists guide teens through challenges such as anxiety, depression, identity formation, relationship conflict, peer pressure, and academic stress. We aim to empower teens with the tools they need to navigate this critical stage of development and build resilience for the future. Our therapists can aid with helping your adolescent learn healthy boundaries and healthy relationship identifiers, as well as juggle increased responsibilities in the home and at school. This period of time can also lead to parent-child conflict and increased stress on the whole family. Our trained therapists can assist with teaching parents how to successfully parent from a place of love, trust, and guidance, while still allowing your teen the independence to learn autonomy and responsibility. If your child is struggling with a mood disorder, or extreme swings of unexplained mood shifts, our therapists can help your teen explore the root of these emotions and gain insight into the triggers/stressors involved. We can assist in teaching pro-social and healthy coping techniques to give your child outlets to manage their complex feelings. We will also help your child and family establish a plan of safety to ensure stability and harmony again.

Couples Therapy
At CPC, we offer pre-marital and couples counseling. Our tailored approach meets couples where they are at in their current status. Most often, relationship counseling is designed for couples seeking to improve their communication, conflict resolution skills, and finding connection again. However, other couples may be at an impasse after repeated negative cycles of interaction that have left both feeling angry, resentful, and alone. Another common reason why couples attend couples counseling is when there has been a discovery of infidelity that needs immediate attention. Our relationships can bring us so much joy and laughter when all is well, but at the same time so much pain and despair when our relationship needs do not get attended to over too long of a period of time. Whether your relationship just needs a little tune up, or perhaps a complete overhaul, our therapists facilitate open communication and understanding, helping couples address issues such as trust, intimacy, and communication breakdowns. At CPC, you can trust that your couples therapist understands the challenges and complexities of having a fulfilling couple hood amidst the daily stressors and pressures for each person involved. We work with couples to aid in healing and letting go of past hurts to build healthier, more fulfilling relationships.

Family Counseling
Family therapy is a type of counseling designed to improve the functioning of a family unit. It involves working with family members to address and resolve issues that impact the dynamics, communication, and overall well-being of the family. Family therapy can also be helpful to address specific issues such as mental health conditions, addiction, parenting challenges, or life transitions. Oftentimes misunderstandings or break downs in communication can lead to feelings of isolation and disengagement with your family members. CPC therapists seek to allow each member to voice their feelings and needs openly, to allow for healthy expression and validation of emotions. Family therapy seeks to offer each member an opportunity to resolve past hurts and create structure and clear expectations within the household again. CPC also offers parenting support to caregivers in navigating the complexities of raising children. Our counselors help parents understand developmental stages, improve communication, and manage family dynamics. We provide practical strategies for enhancing the parent-child relationship and fostering a positive home environment. Our belief is that we can all aid in the healing and resolution for each other if we are taught the skills to do so.
